uncertainty

Not knowing things can be very stressful.

Like how do we afford a third more rent?   Will she accept less than that?
Watch this space.....decisions to be made and put into writing by the 19th....

We don't want to move if we don't have to. Apart from anything else, rentals in general have shot up in price...places I looked at a year ago are asking more.
Perhaps because they are becoming farther and fewer between...I've also seen several that were outside chances of looking at to rent, now for sale.

IF we had enough capital to buy outright life would be easier ....   and cheaper.

I'm back to homehunting again, just in case....

Meanwhile matters move steadily on with the business of selling the South Wales house.....wish I could get enough from this to buy another for myself.

Back to my father's thoughts...
Step one, win the lottery....
Step two, when number one fails, go to work in the morning....

Meanwhile we visit various bits of our various families. It's good to keep contacts going and keep up with news.

I am sure it is very stressful for you both, gz ... sending positive thoughts your way!

Toes crossed that you don't have to move; you seem so settled now.
Your father had the right idea. I wonder how many people don't want to contemplate the second step!

So many elements to juggle.

Oh no, that's just too bad! I do hope you can find a nice home that's comfortable and just the right price for your creative pursuits. I'm grateful I finally have a secure and reasonable home. I was on a waiting list to get in for a long time though. Sending more virtual good energies!

Ugh, no fun.

I was just remembering when I learned to throw a pot on the wheel:
I spent an afternoon alone in the studio (just a crummy little place in a basement), and a couple times the lump of clay literally flew off the wheel, across the room.

You'll be long used to this, but when the clay finally centered itself, I had this epiphany that I was sitting on a spinning planet, in the middle of a universe...
Wow.

I did eventually make a little symmetrical pot, which I still have. It is thick and heavy--more of a lump with a concave area than a proper pot-- but I'm quite proud of it.

And that was it for me and pottery. (You know--time/money/space considerations.)

Don't know why I'm mentioning this...
Life is like that?
