skies

These were on our midday walk on Wednesday.

Yesterday I wish I'd been able to capture the sky colour on our afternoon drive home from Glasgow.
Starting with an orange ball sinking past the clouds, to puffy grey clouds with a pink strawberry colour base, and a sky of orange, apricot and peach tones.
Further on, twenty miles later, the sky was a darker red, with cold green streaks and shading up into an icy pale blue, deepening as you looked further upwards.

Being an artist and a driver is not always an easy combination! However I did drive safely.

Today , after having had an hour's session on the Glasgow velodrome yesterday, we had planned a light road ride as it is dry and not icy... it is blowing hard and getting colder rapidly. No road ride then, back to riding the turbo, watching the trees wave and the jackdaws play on the wind or hang on tight on the wires!

I often see beautiful things when I'm driving. My mental camera is the only place they're saved, and these days that means I forget it within hours. I liked your description of the sky. We're due to get socked with cold again, after 4 delightful days of warmth. Oh well, it's winter!

I wish I could look out at a blue sky today. It is the usual winter grey and expected to get even greyer. Enjoy your sunshine.
