Gardening work

We're back mowing lawns and tidying gardens... the money comes in handy, but it takes up time where we need to be doing other things, Also our mowers are showing their age!

However there are gardens where we'd work for free (if he'd let us!!)

We need to be working in our own garden....and having good neighbours round

Susan, Peter's grandfather (or father...not sure which...) was sent from Dorset when his father was killed in a carting accident, to be an apprentice at Kew Gardens in London.
The top rose is going over a little, but I think its the climber (seen on the dead tree with the Clematis Montana alba)..given to Peter 90 years ago as a present. It came from Hilliers Rose Nursery, and was sold as "lost label"..It is in fact a "failed" breeding specimen...climbs beautifully, looks good but has no scent!

Nice work if you can get it---the bee's work, that is!
