It took a long time to sleep last night..,so I awoke to this.... before 8am!!
And an hour later...
It was bright sun but very cold all day.
This was as dusk was approaching. The road was like this all day.
I did tidy the workshop up a little so that I can get things done with the Oily One. Then retreated to warm up ! I was glad of the lambing gilet from Mountain Man and the warm boots from Pirate!! The advantage of having partners who wore near enough the same sizes !!
Another hand delivered card today...I doubt that there will be many more.. although there may be some stuck on the post...cards have been taking 4 to 8 days to get here.
I've retreated to bed with diary, Duolingo, blogger and book !!

You are a woman who has mastered the fine art of weathering a storm, whether it is mother nature lobbing it at you or life having a go. Bed sounds a good place to wait it out.
Bed would definitely be the place to be from the looks of that street
Sounds like a perfect way to spend a winters day
That does look a bit on the nippy side.
That does look cold! Brrrr.
Cards have been very few this year. I am sad to see another tradition dying.
Stay warm!
Chilly and rainy here...I got out for a wee walk between bouts of rain. The ocean was near roiling under the elements. Hope you had a peaceful and cosy Christmas!
((o))
What book are you reading?
I hope you have a lovely time with your visitors—you’ve surely spruced your place up nicely
Yes, we're under a polar vortex here. I'll be glad when it's gone.
It's surreal seeing those pictures while I'm in Florida. It's like another world! I like the colors in that first sunset shot.
It is cold here too with 4 inches of new fluffy snow.
Your sky is always dramatic and very beautiful.
Staying warm when there is little sunshine/warmth requires layers and good boots. You are well prepared.
...a beautiful start to your day!
Hard to get a brain around that much cold from a mid-summer porch but can sort of recall hands too cold to undo knotted ropes or use small hand tools outdoors. Do you really need shed projects in the cold season?
Now, that's a sky to wake up for! Loved it. Enjoy your peaceful between holiday time.
If it involves getting the kiln going..yes!
Rory Stewart "politics on the edge". Should be interesting
Today (31st) is the coldest morning so far, I've even put my big coat on.
