I am completely failing to download my coursework and homework..let alone open the download.
I've emailed the course tutor...in French of course.....
They are using powerpoint presentations....I've just had a thought....I wonder if that is Windoze? Although usually if that is the case the tablet and phone DO download it and show the W.....which means that I can't open it...
Seeing as I printed off my flight schedule for May and the SNCF Carte+ with no problems....
You can seriously go off computers......
Brother reminded me...you can open Word docs with Libre Office....
so at least I could read it....and use the reply bit on the AF course page to send the answers. I suppose that proves you either knew them or copied the answers off the powerpoint slide after the one with the exercise!
But....I don't know where the accents are on the laptop keyboard....which is a problem in Welsh as well as French..if not quite as much. On a touchscreen you can choose é..or ê...et cetera.....on a keyboard you get eeeee when you hold it down 😄
So they got an apology....
This has taken five hours of screenwork and my eyes are complaining!!

...things work when they work and don't when they don't!
I agree wholeheartedly.
Am having internet/computer problems at the moment grrrr
I really should get more involved... I let my men handle all of that.
It's not ideal, no. But it's practical.
I wish you the best of luck—you'll do it!
Five hours is real commitment.
I've found Open office quite useful and it's free to download and use.

Brave adventurer!
Cancer the crab....doesn't let go!!!
With great determination and persistence, ultimately you make things work. Given all the effort, I hope you treat yourself tomorrow.
You're determined to get this done. Good luck.
I would have given up and tossed the thing in the trash, i think! You persevered. I am impressed!
Grrrr. What is it about some dox? I couldn't open a letter attachment the other day, forwarded it to Mr B and he had it open in one click. 5 hours is however a marathon of persistence.
Technology is great when it works.
But when it doesn’t it’s maddening
my coursework book is due to be delivered...phoning and speaking to a French Human Bean in London worked where online failed!
just being stubborn....
isn't it just!!
I found computers to be my biggest handicap when I went to school. Younger students navigated with ease. If there was a really problem, I always thought it was me being dumb.
For me on ipad the accents appear when you hold down a key - so if you type the letter e hold it down and you will get a display of accents to choose from.. to use on the e ….having my own multi screen drama here —good luck. Jean
on a touch screen, I should think?
possibly I have to press something else at the same time...
Touch screen or keyboard—-put finger on letter e, hold it down, while holding it down accents will show on the screen with numbers by each one, while still holding down the letter e, type in the number by the accent you want and è or whatever accent you want for the letter e will be typed.
