Reds and frustration

different light certainly changes things.

I'm still drawn to the second one up.

Fresca suggests stripes.....maybe!

The Oily One reminded me that we used a nice deep red from Farrow and Ball over 14 years ago in the hall of our terraced house...built 1861...a little like a combination of the two bottom colours. It matched the original paint on the wall under a dozen thicknesses of paper.

In the first picture you can see at the bottom the cloth that I was intending to use to cover the dark red sofa bed.  I'm not sure now!!

Most of today has been a waste of time and very frustrating.

When I chose this French course, it was because it is an in person course, not online.

I knew there was homework.

I did not know that this would have to be submitted online....

The first complication was that it came in a microsoft presentation.

ok....used Libre Office....downloaded, opened.

but for every "slide" of the homework with questions, the next slide has the answers....so what am I supposed to do...and then transfer it to the student portal on their website.?

I will do that bit of the homework...nearly finished writing the answers on paper and got most correct...but I haven't found what else is needed!

Apparently I have to write something...

I've been looking at it from all directions...

So I emailed the tutor...at least she knows that it isn't that I can't be bothered. And I'll keep plugging at the problem.

It is exceedingly frustrating.  And tiring. And yet another day with no exercise which makes one even more tired...

as one might say in French...

                  Bah!!

“Bah!!”
Such a good French word!

I concur, the bottom colors look better with the yellow, which the top orangey ones kind of duplicate.

I need my other specs on - didn't see much red in those colours, just picked up browny tones. Hope you can settle on the colour soon. Sorry about the frustrating time over the French homework.

.... or merde! you have so much enthusiasm I hope your tutor can support you in getting through this course. I like the top colour sample although 2nd is lovely too I think when it reflects off 2 walls it will appear much darker - if you cut the sample in half and hold it edge to edge on a corner of the room you will see what I mean - much darker when reflected against itself, hope this helps. I hope you can find an easy system for accessing and completing your French homework.
Selecting a paint color takes time. You have several options to evaluate.

wow the course you are doing sounds hard! But I'm sure you can handle it, not sure about the reds, they all look good.

Oh my it’s definitely frustrating and annoying.
Although getting your blood pressure up,because of all those complications, might be classed as cardio?

That would be my go-to...Gwynneth is a class act though...surely not....

Red is a difficult colour to photograph too - it either overwhelms or alters it's tone.
some reds are warmer too - good luck, will look lovely when it's done

Yes I can do that in a corner by the chimney breast...in this corner it will stand against the yellow

Zut alors (darn)! French is a difficult language anyway. With your red throw material, I would go towards the lighter reds of your options. But red is such a lovely warming colour. Hugs Xx

I'm thinking not to use that on the sofa..but that decision can wait!!

Choosing colors is a headache! I am bever satisfied with my choices, either.
Bummer on the homework. What a hassle!

That homework situation does sound disappointing, given that you were trying to avoid an online course! I hope the tutor helps you sort it out.

...and you found the perfect shade... Bravo!
P.S. My daughter is a passionate French teacher and an art teacher at heart. Good luck with your French; I'm in an English class.
