Walking along Sauchihall Street in the shade on Saturday morning, it was stone cold...so it was a relief to reach Kelvinbridge and Park Circus at the top of the hill. It was still chilly after the lesson....which went well...and no I don't need to send in homework done..relief!!
Down through Kelvingrove park ....that is looking back past the impressive gates....full of dog walkers, kids on balance bikes,park runners running..
across Sauchiehall Street to the parallell Argyll Street for a change...
and Hidden Lane...
a hidden corner of artisan workers of all sorts. A marvellous (and unfortunately full) tearoom...and Rag and Bone, a secondhand and antique emporium, going since 1968...and I aquired a school test tube rack for my linocutting tools....
£5 well spent.
further along Argyll Street...you've seen Fresca's...
It was cold...hence the pub name...
and on a hoarding...
and going through Finneston towards the centre, up towards Charing Cross and back.onto Sauchiehall Street....contrasts...
Then the lamp posts like trees...
and crowded streets...
I was glad to get on the bus to Ayr..and chose the slow bus for a change...more than an hour extra journey, but more to see...and no motorway!!
That was a long, long day!!

wow! I've never wandered around Glasgow, only driven through, and it felt very cosmopolitan from the view of the moving car - your photos give that same feel.

Gosh, looks like you clocked up some milage. I loved the back yard shop type places with the stone sets for paving. Then the slow boat home :)

I love the look of cobbled streets, not great for cycling though.
