project in progress

I bought some medium weight card today, with the hope that it will pass through the printer.

The new project is inching towards fruition, but so much gets in the way....Life, I suppose, is like that.

The Pirate has remembered that he has some fine wood carving chisels AND knows where to lay his hand on them-a minor miracle at present!!   So as well as reviving my lino printing skills and learning how to use the scanner and printer together with older drawing books, I could extend my skills with woodblock printing.....

I'd still prefer to be working in clay, but it will be creating something.....ANYTHING!!!

It might just bring in some sorely needed income as well.

wood block printing sounds like fun! as you probably read on my blog last fall, I have delved into lino block printing. I had lots of fun with it and can't wait to explore it further. Perhaps you can give me some tips!

Love the simplicity of your line drawing...and the subject matter of course!

Looking forward to seeing your prints! (I think this is the first time I have posted a comment - hello!)

I had an old folio filled with all my lino prints, wood block prints, etchings, etc. Then some bastard stole it. I often wonder where they all are now!

Hi Gwynneth, sounds good again. Love the drawing so the wood block should go well. Fingers crossed. We're again home in France, but pining at times for Sweden. Springlike weather today, so in garden most of the day. Take care both.

Hi, I popped over here from Zhoen's blog and when I saw this birdie sketch, I had to let you know how much I love it:
I'm in Minneapolis, USA, and we've been having an extremely cold winter--today it is only OºF/17C. The birds have been having a stressful winter too, so I've been feeding them, and your little sketch catches what I see outside every morning. Sparrows, mostly, which are the most delightful plain plucky birds.

Best wishes to the Pirate and you.
