productive

The gooseberry crop was small in both ways this year..another thing we noticed was no gooseberry sawfly caterpillars or Magpie moths and their caterpillars.
The strawberries keep coming despite irregular pollenation giving some interesting shapes!
The alliums have been lifted a little early so that they can dry in the forecasted few days of hot dry weather and make room for the fruit bushes.

The breadmaking continues...I'm following a slightly different bread making regime and recipe using the sourdough mother..so far so good.

Pineapple? No,not from the garden....but who could refuse marked down produce?!  Four pots at 30 pence each, half eaten fresh, half dried.
