Journey part two, plane to New Zealand

 7 hours to Dubai
 Then 14 hours to Sydney...

Change in Dubai...and wait an extra two hours for a seal to be changed. Arrive Sydney only an hour late as .they put a bit extra fuel in and played catch-up.
You could see the Bush fire smoke in the air.
On top of all that, arrived Christchurch in a hailstorm with lightning and had two strikes on the plane, fore and aft, just before we landed.

And the cat said Welcome, where have you been ???

Welcome to New Zealand. Have just seen the South Island Hail Storm on the news.

Welcome indeed. Since you traveled east, I'm glad you gave actual travel time, because you gained so many hours. That is something to get used to, but you've done it before! Thanks for the great (tiny portion) update of your journey.

All black cats are lucky. More lucky the more time you spend with them, but any amount is good.

Hope you got some sleep.

What does a lightning strike on a plane feel like? Sounds terrifying.

Zhoen it was a loud thump and everything rattled....shall we say the air was a bit lumpy, not just the landing
