Why here?

In reply to Cat's question...
In 1967 Pirate nearly emigrated here, but his then wife wasn't sure.....so it didn't happen.
After many years travelling with a case in one hand and a toolbox in the other as an aircraft engineer, he turned from cyclo-cross to track cycling.
Masters competition called and a year or so before he finished working he travelled to Australia and New Zealand for competions. Then he just carried on.....
When we had just got together he had booked to be away for almost six months.....and he wasn't about to leave me behind!
So I bought my ticket....
Now he is on his sixteenth visit in twenty years.....and I am on my fourth in seven years...and during my last visit I had the news that I have cousins here.

On top of all that...it just feels like home...we have so many friends here....
