Windy

 It has been....very windy.

Still quite windy today...took Pirate to Ayr for a dental appointment and we came back along the prom.....

Just glad we don't live further North at the moment....friends have roof tiles off and can't go to work as it's not safe in the forests at the moment...sixty foot trees are not supposed to dance!

We have a major storm coming in overnight, tonight, and high winds are expected, though it is a very long front and needs all the help it can get to move on.

Those are some stormy and wild waves, I would not want to be out in a small boat then. Stay safe and look out for dancing trees.

Catalyst we often have storms at this time of year..but not this strong or often...and not this warm. We should be having much colder weather and snow

That does look quite fierce!

Yikes that sounds bad. I couldn't get the video to work to see it. Do be careful and I hope it all passes soon.

GZ, I live a stone throw away from the coast. Wind is my enemy. Or so I am told - by my wonderful doctor who doesn't mince his words. The other day he phoned me as, apparently, I haven't seen him in years. "Well", I said, "why do you think that is?" Who needs bad news when you can just be swept off your feet by a sudden gust of wind, break a few bones and, consequently (according to him), die of pneumonia in hospital? Considering that I am not particularly old, or anything for that matter, what will the future hold? Other than the end.

Meanwhile I try to remember to pop the sunshine pills (Vitamin D) to keep the bones from getting brittle.

GZ, tucked away in this comment, I'd like to let you know: Your continued support of me in blogland, indeed an affinity between us, hasn't gone unnoticed.

And whatever you do, don't use an umbrella when the winds blow. Not only will the umbrella come to harm, you may take sail.

U

Hope the dental apt went well. It's been windy here too, think Summer has left NZ

Ah, Ursula we pop the sunshine pills too! Each time we return from AotearoaNZ we notice the change in ourselves and get back on them!
I can't remember when I last used an umbrella...not thought about that, having lived in windy places and/or needed both hands free to hang onto various shopping, offspring, etc!

But that's what I love about trees - their dancing skills. But they have deeper roots in the ground than us mere mortals so stay safe!

Molly one of our friends is a forester, harvesting trees...he is seeing huge areas of total destruction, not just a few flattened at the edges

Awful here too. Saw a traffic cone that had moved - and bit :-)
