Glad to be here

We are definitely glad to be here. It just feels like we are back home.

Giving our friend a hand around the house and garden. Visiting mutual friends.

The hills there appear to have snow on them...or was it just the sunshine?

Christchurch harbour is the other side of them.

Then we had the delights of the Westfield Mall in Riccarton.   It is huge! Not my idea of fun atall, but we did miss the rain while sorting pirates NZ phone.

Reflections....

I am fascinated...so are you from NZ originally? How do you come to be there? I'm a curious sort of person. I have a hundred questions!

Back in Christchurch "UnZud" eh? We both loved NZ and toured it a couple of times soon after I retired. First time a coach tour of both Islands to get the feel for it and then back two years later to do it on our own, hiring cars and staying on the many chalet/camping sites on both Islands.

It is a lovely country and we both said we would have emigrated there had we been younger. We were fortunate, too, to see Christchurch and its Cathedral befor the last earthquake. The risk of living with such beauty on a fault line.

Now a recent widower, they are times I look back on with such lovely memories.

Enjoy!
