Just chilling in the Mud Ducks, before I walk back to base.
I bought my contribution to the pot luck supper.. interesting that pot luck is a corruption of pot latche...the First Nations celebration that was banned in Canada...
I was looking for a new bandana or two, but it looks as if they are out of fashion.
So I bought three fat quarters....as one does when ones fabric stash at home is already too big.....

...I didn't know the origins of the term. You should be able to find bandannas at a Harley Davidson shop.
Where there is a will there is a way.
Do you sew them together?
I’d love to see it when it’s done
Yes, it's true -- the Canadian government outlawed the holding of potlaches among the indigenous peoples of the Pacific Northwest from 1885 to 1951. This was part of the racist and colonialist policy of forced assimilation by cultural destruction at that time. Potlaches were often a central feature of indigenous self-government as a way of redistributing wealth in their societies. Today it is once again a central feature of Haida culture and self-governance.
Good idea... there must be a motorbike type shop here....
I've started one..just cut the selvedge off one side and allow 2cm each side for hems....
You are a creative seemstress!
I've never been to Whanganui so nice to see some photos.
Oh the warmth! How I need it now. It's topping out in the 50's here in Arizona and I'm freezing! How long ago my North Dakota days seem now. And how long ago they actually were! Stay as long as you can, gz, and stay warm for awhile.
