A beautiful Italian frame..an Alan.
Unfortunately it cannot be ridden like this...or mended.
And the ironing board cover? Cut out..pinned....and the bobbin winder on my electric machine isn't working.
I'll have a better look tomorrow....and get the 1920s handraulic one out again!!
The sewing machine mechanic is in Dumfries.....I haven't had a day out there for ages!! When the weather isn't playing Weather with an "W" !!

You do seem to be having it colder than us... famous last words. Tomorrow we're going up to see our son Peter and family, who live near Dundee, half way up the Sidlaw Hills. What could possibly...?
What a shame about the bike!
Technology is so aggravating. We had to take the evaporator fan motor out of the fridge 3 times before we finally got it to work correctly. The old icebox don't seem like a bad idea sometimes.
Sounds like it was a day for being stymied.
If I were you I'd look at the met office Radar forecast showing what sort of precipitation is due for that area.....
Botheration indeed ...
Oh dear - will there now be a third dammit happening?
It's so sad when something wonderful becomes unusable. Looks like the frame should become some sort of museum piece....remembrance of things past.
My bobbin filler stopped working. Then I figured out that the little rubber wheel that powered it was worn. Pressure on the leaver solves it for now. Just need to find the new part for a sixty year old machine!
Can someone use the bike frame for parts?
A trip to get your sewing machine repaired will make a pleasant day. Funny how somethings work well and then unexpectedly, without notice, don't work.
Bummer about the cracked frame!
Not as difficult as you might think. I can still get small parts like rubber wheels and the like..in fact I must order one for my 1929 handraulic Singer...
Probably not
Indeed..it might be worth finding a museum...
