I got up to feed the cat at about 4:20 and when I walked into the kitchen I thought our neighbor had left his light on. I soon realized it was moonlight, very bright, but I couldn't see the moon from that vantage point and I was damned if I was going outside to howl at it!
Yes! we have had fabulous moonlit skies two mornings running, yesterdays so bright I thought it was daylight - there's something very magical for me about these cold frosty mornings with a full moon. I put my coat and wellies on and take my tea in the garden with Mollie cat. everything is still and calm- and then we get the noise from Gatwick airport of engines and planes and stuff (2 miles away) but even that is nice as it means Im up early looking at the same moon with my youngest son who is a groundworker at the airport and startsk work 5am when Im drinking my tea!!! Wishing you a happy New Year with good health, great blogging and ... more pottery! please show more of your work, it is interesting. Betty
Very bright here in the kitchen when I switched off the lights to head up to bed. I have pulled the wooden shutters across in my bedroom, which lifts the temperature a bit but makes the room pitch black . . .
I was surprised to find that the world called the moon the wolf moon. I thought it was a native American thing. It was gorgeous and so bright. 'The moon on the breast of the new fallen snow gave the luster of midday to objects below.'

It did wake me up during the night, shining on my face through the Velux window!
The light cast by the Wolf moon is spectacular. The shadows of the trees cast on the snow cover are equally lovely.
