Still cold and season's end

It was another clear and cold morning...

So that called for another hour of hibernation!!

I'm still sorting things after the Visitation....and there are still some things that have disappeared!!

Before lunch I did half an hour on the turbo...nothing excessive, but it does enliven the metabolism!!

I went over to the gallery to clear my work...but it took ten minutes to clear the frozen windscreen...inside and out...and be sure that it was going to stay clear!!

Just one box full to come back...and we will be having a clean and painting session sometime, so that the gallery will be ready to reopen in April.

I stopped to shop at the Co-op shop in Maybole on the way back...scored quite a bit of Reduced to clear things that I'd usually buy..and when I came out at 15.45 the sun was heading down and the light changed

And it was snowing...the sort of large soft "dry" flakes that settle...I think that it was a passing shower..but quite widespread.

When I arrived home the layer of snow was frozen and crunchy..and feet left no imprint.

After dinner I started a most necessary job...replacing the ironing board cover...using an old cotton sheet.

It has lasted well...for an inexpensive one from IKEA...about twelve years..and the pad that goes under it is still good.

And chatting online to a friend who collects mugs...she has at least enough for one a day...for six months.! She sent me a photo of the slatglaze mug I gave her...

I taught her to throw thirty years ago...she doesn't work in clay any longer...but I wouldn't be surprised if she started again if they can succeed in selling their house and moving to near some of her family in Scotland

How did your Christmas cards sell?
They were so lovely, but I wonder if cards sell?

I would have guessed it was cold from your video!

You stay busy, and moving ahead on your projects too. I don't think I have ever seen snow where no footprints were left. How very strange.

Sounds like your entering he new year full of energy and purpose.
Do you usually get snow? I would have to walk very carefully over the ice. I’m more than likely to fall over spectacularly. In face I did just that in Edinburgh and there wasn’t any ice or snow at all

A few...but I don't think they went out early enough.
I've yet to call in the little shop in Ayr that had them as well. If nothing else it meant that I didn't have to buy any!!

I think just that it froze on contact with the ground

I'm just over 400' above sea level...and can see the sea... usually snow level is about 600' upwards. So we don't usually get much
