The past two days have been full of bits of jobs-when you do many things but feel you have achieved little!
The week started with getting as much washed and dried as possible, with an eye on the weather.
I have a hole in the kiln flue, so I am sourcing a replacement section, hopefully in stainless steel this time.
Pots have been delivered to Llantarnam Grange in Cwmbran, then I drove about six miles at least to travel under one mile....when I can find the right roundabout, from the right direction, I can find my way. However even locals get lost, so I am consoled by that fact!!
I stopped by Twmbarlwm on the way back and went for an hour's walk. The mountain was empty, the clouds swirling about the tump. When they lifted, so did my spirits.
The glazing is nearly done to fill the kiln, including ten glaze tests! Once the flue is mended I'll do two, if not three glaze firings.
Today it is a garden work day...and it is raining!! Still, if I go tomorrow it will be raining more heavily, and be colder and windier. So today it is. At least it wont be all outside work.

Oh I know (as Sybil Fawlty would say).
We've been the same here this week. DH has the week off and we've been scuttling around catching up with little jobs and errands. All the plans we made for this week have not materialised.
As you describe so well, we are slaves to the weather on our small Island :-D
Hope the rain held off, it's turned really cool here but no rain so far.

Twbbblllllkkkmww, or whatever: gosh, you have to love Wales and the Welsh :)
Sounds like you've done a great deal. Keep as dry as possible.

The rain and cold have made the studio a good place to be. The laundry is piling up here too but the wheel is spinning. Potatoes need digging here but not in the rain.......... they will just wait.
Are you finding the gardening and potting a good balance?
gardening and potting seems to balance well. I could do without the housework!!
