A garden afternoon

After a morning washing and drying and ironing, now that the machine is functioning with a new door catch (and new motor brushes on the way) it was good to have a friend visit. A walk around Hannahston, Pirate and him sharing tea from the billycan, then supper together with most of the veges from the garden.
Sad that he wasn't feeling 100%, so didn't stay over.

What a productive garden, love the photo of you, do you wear a scarf a lot, it seems like your signature look?

What a lush garden! But it's the end of July and everyone's wearing coats! Oh my. I've been in short sleeves and shorts for months...and probably will for at least a few more. The tea in the garden is so sweet.

It does feel odd, coats and hats and Woolies in July!
Lettice I have worn a scarf since 1972 I think..keeps flyaway hair tidy, hides hair if it needs a wash, keeps clay or earth off it...!!
We are looking for a secondhand greenhouse now...far better than plastic as it lets a different spectrum of light through and you get less condensation.
It is satisfying when you begin to reap the rewards of the hard work
