Brief respite and celebration

We had an dusk walk around Hannahston, just a change of air...and pick up a shopping bag of apples of course!

Ebaying is taking a lot of time as ever, but is steadily successful. We try and take them by bike to post them, but sometimes they are too big for the bike bag!

We chose Prestwick, with an ulterior motive...but the ice cream parlour on the prom was closed. Never mind...we had a nice view anyway!

Back to garden tidying and bike bit polishing!

We are missing friends and family. Our neighbour has to visit to our garden not our house..on rainy morning's him and pirate wave from each others front windows and phone each other!

Pirate's younger daughter got married last Friday..in Gretna Green! They have been wanting to marry for a long time, but couldn't afford it...then they had managed to plan for April...and lockdown came along...

They found a wedding weekend holiday package!! The paperwork was easier than that in Hampshire, so they went for it! To save family tensions, they told no-one!!

Pirate was the first to know, as soon as they arrived back home in Hampshire.

We have all celebrated by email, seen the lovely photos and will have a get-together when we can.

Just what we all need a romantic spin on this awful pandemic. Saving shedloads of money and no family members offended by not being invited. Health and happiness to the pirates-in-progress.

Beautiful walk! Congratulations on the wedding! These are such strange times to be celebrating by emails and other things we used to take for granted...... nice to have a buddy to do things with or just enjoy the day ☺️

Yes this year has scuppered a lot of celebrations or plans, what a lovely romantic (and delightfully archaic!) way of getting married in secret :D Congratulations to Pirate and his daughter and new son-in-law!

Congratulations to the newly weds. Ten years ago my younger son and his (now) wife eloped to Skye and had a totally private ceremony at Portree. I was full of admiration for them and grateful for the financial savings!

How I sympathize to missing ice cream, especially ice cream you worked for.

RR and Lettice her big sister was in tears over the phone to Pirate about being left out......but everybody, thankfully, is pleased for them both!!
