The British Masters Cycle Racing ( previously known as the League of Veteran Racing Cyclists) had a good three days of track racing.
All the first aid man had to deal with was one scraped elbow...she had more wounded pride than anything, going too slow, but luckily at the bottom of the banking..right in front of her teammates!!
The weather has been horrendous, high winds and heavy rain for days.
That's the one good thing about indoor velodromes!!
Pirate wasn't the oldest there..the oldest was Walter Fowler at 87...and he is fitter and faster than many in their 70s!
Pirate and teammates, their sponsor is on the right.
Walter and the two youngsters
And he got his name up in lights!....eighth overall in the 70+ race, and first in his category.
We arrived home to pumpkins and trick or treating...which didn't last long due to heavy showers. As we drove up the valley where I used to live everything went dark for a second or so...just wires touching in the wind I thought.. apparently a massive power surge, putting out TV reception dishes and locking electronic washing machines and the like!! One thing against things being too complicated !
Our welcoming pumpkin....with a car traffic warning light flashing inside!!

Love the idea of the flashing pumpkin. We had no trick or treaters - weather foul! Well done Pirate🚴🏼♂️💪🏼
Well done Pirate.
Congratulations Pirate! (Or should I show more respect and say Mr. Possee.) And what a great jack o'lantern! Love the flashing light.
Congratulations to your pirate! That is awesome.
That's a handy place to practice your sport and to meet up with friends.
