I've deleted several who've stopped blogging and some have actually been discontinue. Some hadn't blogged in a couple of years, so I do delete inactive ones and odd new ones. I always leave a comment on the inactive ones (usually several before I delete them); but the final one I say if you get back to blogging, please come by and let me know so I can add you back to the list. I was going to take a look at your large list thinking some might call out to me; but I don't actually see your list...help me find it, please. I just added you my list to make visiting easier.
Ah...Sandy I thought I had added the list....perhaps I should hide a few of the dormant ones first before I try doing that properly 😄
Gosh that's a lot of blogs to follow. I like to read the blogs I follow as often as I can and I would ever get through that many.

I often check out other blogs via those I myself follow, I don't have hundreds though! Couldn't keep up :)
I use Feedly and just leave all the inactive ones in my lists. Occasionally someone will start up again which is either great or I realise I am no longer interested in their feed so it's easy to remove.
I regularly go through and have sort out, blogs which have gone quiet for some time, those who's direction is no longer what had attracted me in the first place, others that have become politicised or angry or offensive - I can select to drop those, and I do. At the moment my blog roll is at its lowest at 49!

Wow, that's impressive! I follow a lot fewer than that and I have a terrible time keeping up! I do delete blogs if they don't post for more than a couple of years.
