Yuletide

Has started with Storm Barra...and is not very inspiring!!

Indoor work today, this and that, a little printing...I have one I am happy with, so for now I will just scan and copy.  It has something good there, so I will revise it a little for prints. Just waiting for it to dry...

The snow hasn't stayed here, but it has been blowing a class one hoolie all day, and now rain with it.

I had another look at Pirate's family tree... following his mother's Epps line way back to the 1700s and his gx5 grandparents.....time to get the lining paper out and draw his family tree out like a map....

I must research my Maōri cousins' tree too...the bits that link to us, and the Scottish links too!

My father, his father and his father's father all had the same name. This is why I could never remember the name of my grandfather.

No going out here today too - coast road closed, trees down and power cuts... Brrr...

We didn't get much from Barra down here. Just some rain. Is Barra a Scottish name?

Barra is in the Hebrides Steve.

Walter was the traditional name of the eldest son in my father's family, Tom.
Possees have favoured William.....it makes you very careful on dates!!!

It's hibernating time for you there whereas it's way too hot and humid here.

Cold rain and snow here as well.

Interested to see you are doing some family tree research - Maori cousins! that should throw up some interesting stuff. I had a taster when a blogging friend (Vix) really kindly did a little delve into my family, I plan to sign up with Ancestry and research further in the New Year as haven't had much time for it but think it will be interesting/possibly emotional as I know zero about my mother. Hope your research brings up some exciting stuff.

I KNEW you had Maori blood! Anyone who can use an expression "a class one hoolie" so nonchalantly! Love it.

Catalyst I don't..but my father's second cousin went to NZ when a little girl.. and eventually married a Maōri man.

My family line is full of James Smiths! Not that easy to trace back...

I've been using family search which is free for the last 10 years, makes the job alot easier
