Thanks for the comment regarding sawflies...I will research that..
However the comment seemed to have gone through onto the comments without me seeing it....it was on the Comments list..at the same time it was in Spam comments....So I deleted the spam.... but both disappeared!!

I have a couple of those issues too - no notification of new comments, straight into spam - which I then promptly deleted in error.
Yes! I've noticed that -- spam comments are shown on the "ALL" comments list, but they're not displayed on the blog until we approve them. No worries about deleting it, as long as you got the message!
