River walk

 A little wander by the water meadows in Penkridge....250 miles driven so far. I am no longer going to do the journey to Somerset in one day!!

Penkridge in Staffordshire? I lived in that area for most of my teaching life.

Good for you; give is a good night's sleep. In spite of the railing, that train sits high on the tracks.

It’s so much easier to break journeys into doable steps. That way you aren’t exhausted when you reach your destination.
Love all the photos; they make me feel like I am on tour.

Weave it looks a nice village.
The Bridge Inn where we stayed is opposite the market.
Suzi your post came straight in ok.I always check the spam folder anyway,not that it was in there. there are a few regulars who sometimes end up in there!

Some really nice looking countryside there, I'm wondering how old the tudor looking building is.

The Tudor looking building is just that, Amy..not Tudor..I can't find any history of the Bridge House, but it was probably built with the half timbered decoration to fit in with the older buildings in the village. We hope to go there again, so will ask
