The difference an hour makes


The first about 7am..and no birds....and the second one the starlings were up and busy.

Sometimes, if you get really lucky, you can see an owl coming home to roost after a night hunting. We had a screech owl in our yard a few mornings ago. It only stayed for about twenty seconds, but it was magical.

When I used to swim early in the morning. We waited eagerly for the sun to start comping up earlier. All would be well until the time change for summer. Then we were plunged back into darkness.
It’s nice that the days are longer in the summer I don’t mind the time changes.

Magical indeed! I haven't heard the owls around here for a couple of years, but I think they are in the nature reserve and near the farm whose hedges I use for foraging
