This morning it had been so cold overnight, that the car windscreen was frozen outside....and inside, like a sheet of little pimples..I should have taken a photo but was too intent on getting it clear so that I could drive down the hill to the garage!
That left a day to get busy indoors..and today's exercise was going up and down stairs!
I moved Pirate's papers back upstairs to a sideboard and small chest of drawers. There are still two stacks of boxes in the living room...one is bike bits to be cleaned , priced and sold. The other is three boxes of things from his display in his Celebrations..and a box of things to go to his nephew which need cataloguing and photographing.
The long sideboard is looking a lot better too..still a bit cluttered, but some of that is things to go, like the growing group of things in the kitchen..an iron, two kettles, one usual size one two cup size. A two espresso cup filter machine...or one mug...water in, coffee in, switch on and go...empty and wash the filter afterwards...things I don't need..or don't need multiples of!
I called garage at three...he wasn't happy as the parts had been put on the wrong delivery van at the motor factor...and ended up in the wrong direction at Falkirk!! They should have arrived just before he finished tonight, so my wee car will have a night in his garage ready for first job tomorrow.
The living room carpet has been vacuumed, the place looks reasonable..and at four in the afternoon we had our snow shower... described as "dandruff" by a friend in the middle of England who has a fair bit more!!

We had snow dandruff here to in Minneapolis – – first of the season. I like hearing about your tidying tasks – – it’s nice to think of getting things taken care of.
...I would call this a dusting!
Hahahahaha, "dandruff." Still annoying, though.
Ah, so getting the right car parts at the right time is not always easy in Britain either! So often we come home with a part, only to find they gave us the wrong one. So frustrating. I hope yours arrives as promised tomorrow.
Expecting our first dusting of snow here tomorrow morning although more than likely it won't happen. Our forecasters get way too excited when we have the first possibility of snow. Then again, I may be surprised!
In my downsizing , I sometimes say, "Will it ever end?"
Once you have finished you’ll feel like you have a huge house to live in
Couriers here are just as silly. We order parts for the business and they sometimes go to the wrong address, or don’t get to the courier at all.
It really puts a spanner in the works. It means that job can’t be done and sometimes the workers are just sitting around with nothing to do. Very annoying
No snow here but quite a hard frost that has turned everything white.
Heating will be on all day today!
I love those clouds in your picture. What a formation. Definitely winter there. You are doing well with your decluttering. When you've got your mind made up about something, you get it done, don't you?
At least at this time of year every garden looks the same.
Cute phrase, dandruf! You are always busy, but it's good to mark progress also.
While you get light snow, we get rain which is needed.
Supply chain problems seem ongoing. Car parts, grocery items...nothing is guaranteed.
At least you have total control over your household organization/decluttering, and this has to be very satisfying.
As I sit here this morning rain is coming down like it means it. Seems we are going back to colder weather for a day or so. Good luck on the sales of your excess.
Snow dandruff made me laugh
Hmmm vehicle parts! I'm helping Bro renovatd and reassemble a van from mid 90s. (Maybe he is helping me - it is to be mine -) and for parts we have been scavenging off and old van (part van) parked down the paddock. The pile of bits and pieces makes my head spin!
