Walking into town, meeting for coffee....
Checking the cinema programme...NB John Going gently...Nosferatu!!
We walked up to see the new extension to the Sergeant Gallery...a fantastic building, really beautiful, completely different to the old one, but fitting in well...I must go back again!
Just the foyer and the front path to start this time!Lunch at Mischief Café, which has a small park next to it.
Toilet décor ♥️
And next to it on what was an empty lot..
And the pavement art leading to...
A bookshop!!
Then a short walk to Drew's Avenue...
And a rest in the i-site WiFi lounge before the quarter hour walk home

It seems a very artistic town - love the decorated walkways. Oooh, a Bookshop!!
I'm surprised you can still find new places to walk to. You must know the town and surrounds better than many locals by now.
Still more corners and places to see!
I wish I was staying on another month... I'll be missing the Artists Open Studios event!!
...I like the bright spots that you found.
What a pleasant way to spend a day! I bet you got a lot of energy from that JOLT coffee, lol.
It's great that you are noting and sharing the beautiful art all around you!
An aesthetic that favors the arts shines well in NZ. The tile inlay on the walkways is a very nice touch for everyone to enjoy.
The art community is strong, and their influence is felt.
I love the pavements - so decorative :)
The walkways are beautiful. So much to see, and it is green, trees leafed out, warm...you surely are making up for all those Scottish days when you couldn't get outside for the weather. Thanks for the pictures. I'm enjoying your adventures.
Lots of interesting scenery! I love the ornamental paving and the flowering tree.
This looks like a fabulous day! Love that toilet! You could stay in there for hours! And what a gorgeous place to walk. I'm not sure you could have pulled me out of that bookstore!
I want to go to Mischief Café!
