Getting back there.
It is surprising how difficult it feels getting back to doing some things every day!
Yesterday was a good day in the end.
Giving a hand to my hosts in the morning, so no bike ride..and then it got too hot to ride..it is getting to UV factor 9 + at the moment..
So walk to town and the daily exercise was walking to the shop at the far end of the main street...3.5 km from where I'm staying.. mostly under shade from trees or shop canopies..
Then after a subway lunch..a cool place to sit and eat on a hot day...and walk back to the i-site WiFi room.. another cool place!
Off to the velodrome to watch a training session..and the rising breeze was cooling..but making training harder work for them.
Then the weekly pub Quiz!!..and we got 2nd, two up from last week!!
I was glad to get a lift back from my librarian friend!
No wonder I slept well last night, despite the heat.

...the UV factor here is about 1.
Lovely observationsx
have a look at #perpetualjournal on IG , it is a inspirational set of pages focusing on nature drawing, it is encouraging when you see others sketching too .
Fibonacci!
I love to see your sketches!
Are you are extra hot here in Minnesota we are extra cold.
Keep on keeping on
It sounds like you are having a wonderful time - how long are you over there for? Lovely sketches - you are very talented. And well done on the pub quiz.
Great artwork, it's along time since I drew anything. I'm better at copying, tbh. Gosh, how hot is it? I think I would need to go in spring, as I don't cope well with heat.
Your pinecone sketches are lovely! And congrats on doing so well in the Pub Quiz!
How I wish I could draw, but alas no talent or skill that way. Yours are delightful. So funny to read about heat when we were at -4f or about -16C!
It is mercifully cooler today.
All doors and windows open
Keep slathering the sunblock you can burn very quickly
Very nice sketches. Botanical art is very pleasing. #2 is a very good score at the Pub Quiz.
It takes practice to get the hand-eye-brain coordination...but keep on trying and recognise that every individual has their own style.
Copying is a good start.
When Grandpa was in Art College (Adelaide and possibly Chelsea) they had to copy pictures and draw sculptures as part of their course
Until the first week in March
I really love your drawings. You remind me that I have to get "back in shape" art wise. You're right -- leave it alone too long and it's like starting over. Love your subject matter here.
