No bike ride outside yet....
Looks nice.....view from the back door.
But.....damp and cold...
So...
View from the turbo trainer!
Then after half an hour...
Not much better.
I went out at lunchtime and if anything it was colder.
Out by car, as vac bags needed...and that is out on the edge of town.
Then swing past the travel agent to congratulate them on being prize winning..again...and enquire, just in case...
I have bought tickets for a fortnight in May....to France...now to fill in the rest of the pieces of the jigsaw....which bus, which train...and where do I stay?!!!
I had other things to do in town....check with the Dancing Thistle....all my greetings cards were sold so none to return home!!
Get a magnetic bracelet mended ...which they did for nothing!....
Then home, supper and sewing.
It is getting colder...has been doing so throughout the day...well...it is at least supposed to be cold and wet...it is winter...unlike New Zealand where it is supposed to be summer. I'm not sure which is worst, that, or the high temperatures they are having westwards in Australia, just "over the ditch"....

Crazy weather in a crazy world.
France in May... that sounds good!
Nice that all your cards sold! The wind is cold here today too. It cut through me like a knife.
Congratulations on selling out your Christmas cards! And making travel plans—it’s good to plan adventures, isn’t it? And your French will be much improved by then, right? with your Saturday classes 😃
...from what I hear, it's too lately down under!
We have rain and maybe some snow forecast for Saturday but, moving fast, the sun and warmer temps are back on Sunday.
It will soon be spring and you have France to look forward to
It’s been a crazy year for weather.
Friends in the USA have posted photos of their white out snow storm.
We have had high temps for the last week. Thankfully it was milder today
I’m envious of the way you all can just travel to another country easily
I can travel for six hours on a plane and I’ll still be in Australia.
France in May is beautiful - we did it regularly years ago and loved it. A vast contrast to today - rather wet and cold but it is January 😆 I am sure you will enjoy it x
Chilly and damp here too... but I'd much rather have that than be too hot. Well done on your cards.
Two weeks in France sounds amazing. I'm done with the cold too. Winter can end now.
Have fun in France, sounds like a well needed trip, at least you have sun on a cold day
We got 2 more inches of snow. The last couple winters have been mild. This one is more typical. Snow, sunshine, cold or no sunshine and very cold.
France in May should be beautiful.
My house is on the market next month if you want perfect weather... Just saying :D
Yay for your sold out greeting cards! I myself am about fed up with winter. Springtime in France sounds like just what the doctor ordered!
