Hawthorn blogged today, the first in a long time.
I like the CS Lewis quote.
Still unpleasant outside, so I concentrated on the quilt. Three edges on and I've started pinning the fourth.
I will be able to cut the lining and back to size. Then that will be as far as I can get until I source wadding and bias binding.
So that has been the view for most of today.
It will be good to get it to that point and have a break from sewing.
I did go on the static trainer for half an hour before breakfast...ok it was still sitting!! And I've been conscious of having a get up and do something break every hour or so.

Sometimes just sitting and sewing is exactly what we need.
Especially if the weather is terrible
Lovely neat stitching.
Our weather forecast got it totally wrong and we had heavy rain all day, which scuppered my plans of going for a walk. I am looking forward to seeing your finished quilt. Do you have a patchwork shop in your nearest town, or will you order batting etc online?
I want to be able to touch what I buy. There is nothing near here.
I might find something that is made for something different...we'll see!!
...these are indeed days for indoor activities!
It can be a challenge to sit at a single task for a long time. I remember doing the same once many years ago when I did a needlepoint kit. (Not my favorite activity.) It's good to take breaks!
I'm glad I've stepped back over the threshold in to the blogisphere, hasn't realised I missed it. IG doesn't quite hit the spot 😊 x
The quilt is looking terrific, and it makes the perfect indoor project during the cold stormy weather.
It certainly is coming along - reading your above comment, perhaps an op shop might have something suitable although 5'2 square you might be pushed finding something that big. Good luck.
No, all the apps from the meta stable look to degenerate the same way
Great progress on the quilt1 It will be wonderful.
There's nothing like being creative to get your head together.
