I started this morning with coffee..in the mug that I was given by Team Arrow...my club in Whanganui
..then turbo..followed by breakfast!
I might keep that going... energy levels were definitely improved, especially as the day started beautifully sunny.
It didn't last....
I need to find some thin smooth wadding for the middle.
It has been hot washed and ironed, ready for use.
I'm quite pleased with the patchwork... although the squares have been put diagonally in the pattern with triangles added to make straight sides...The intended measurement was 5' square....well it IS square....and 5'2" !! It will have a 2¼" edge then bias binding.
I'll be glad when it is finished!

It's coming on well and looking good. A labour of love to keep you warm.
Are the squares made out of men's shirts? I like it. It's always so nice to find useful things in your stash.
Your beautiful sky is dramatic. It changes quickly.
The quilt will soon be put to good use. The diagonal square with triangles at the border makes a lovely square. Nicely done GZ.
It's looking very promising!
The patchwork looks great, looks like perfect squares. I have my favourite coffee cup too, it has a crochet quote on it.
Another stadh item used up and so clise to completion of a beautiful quilt. Do you use natural fibre or manmade for filler?
Looking good 👍
It will be so nice to have the quilt finished. I bet it will be terrific.
I've been using army surplus wool blankets, then wool batting from NZ. There is a wool and cotton mix too.
Thanks 🙂
