I ended up sleeping late after a long day...and missed a third of one of my favourite radio programmes..."out of doors"
I wish that I could sleep with the curtains open ..but some of the "security" flood lights from various houses at the back light up my bedroom...I hate missing daylight especially with the shorter days
Forecast checked...washing done promptly and on the line!!
Housework done..meh!!
I decided to see what the Coastal Artisans craft fair was like in Ayr...off on the bumpy bus . The roads are doing no favours to the buses sadly.
The fair was ...ok....but I didn't feel impressed. I'm not sure why. They looked to be making some sales which is good anyway.
Then a bit of a wander
and a cookie and hot chocolate in the Beastie Brews café before catching the bus..

'Tis the season of craft fairs from now until Christmas -- I've got a few pencilled in to attend too.
It’s looks like it’s cold. A hot chocolate would be vital to keep you warm
I know what you mean about the security lights, our 'problem' light is a street lamp. Tall so double deckers can get beneath and when we first lived here, the light bulbs themselves were that 'yellowy glow' that they used to be, then they were all changed to that super white LED - jeez - sooooo bright. It lights up the front rooms and right through the hall way to the back of the house.
I love Christmas fairs. We do not have a lot of them here. You know, I was realizing that truly the bulk of my Christmas shopping for family is done. I am just collecting for the toy giveaway, and for the Amish Christmas, and that is just fun.
I like artisan fairs too, especially when I find something unique and beautifully crafted. Lately the fairs are not as good as they used to be. I've made no purchases recently.
The sky looks beautiful which makes a nice day.
I had plans to go to such a market with a visitor today - but she is in hospital so it will be a different visit.
Funny you saying the craft fair was unimpressive - I have felt that about a couple of regular village craft fairs I've visited here. Many of the offerings demonstrate impressive skill to achieve something which as a whole is undesireable, doesn't inspire, or is let down by poor materials.
one was a stand of cards, many with funny words...but possibly designed with AI and looked like cards from a card shop. Another selling Wax Melts...bought in.
The usual couple of jewellery stands, pretty enough made from bought beads and fittings..
one was coloured glass hangings..showing potential.
But you get the idea..
Sounds like a nice day! I have slept late several times lately, just so busy and so tired, plus shoulder and arm pain tbat often sits me upright out of a sound sleep. So annoying.
