Juice!

5 litres of juice pressed....That took all afternoon and into the evening, with a few breaks!

Meanwhile it was windy and chilly outside with a few showers...the heavier ones looked to be bypassing here!

The two plants with small peppers on them, and two pelargoniums came in to the kitchen windowsill. This will give me room to sort everything else that is left in the greenhouse. Then I can sow some radish and the like..if I can get Roundtoit!!

Earlier night tonight...I need to be up earlier to put the juice through the "jeely bag" and possibly bottle it. That can sit in the fridge until I get back from the gallery , then be pasteurised.

All the toits here are square. Sounds like you have been churning through the round ones too. 5 litres is a lot of processing by hand.

Do you have a 'cider' press type juicer? or a mechanical one? A neighbour has a rather prolific if a little sour apple tree and is running out of things to do with the fruit, I had suggested juice a year or two ago but nothing happened.

I started with a juicer, but there was so much juice left in the pulp that I bought a tabletop size press from Vigo.
I blend sweet apples with the ones that gives a nice juice with a "dry" finish. The sweet tempers the dry, or the dry stops the sweet from being too sweet!

You are an amazing machine. I cannot even imagine all that took. Just wow!
