Lammas Day walk

The valley of the Water of Girvan.

We had a walk after tea- curtailed again by yet more rain!   If nothing else it enforces much needed rest after driving from Mid Wales.
Indeed, the total mileage from Cwmcarn was indeed nearly..."500 miles" !!

Upon which note, did you realize that The Proclaimers are twins, and have been singing together professionally for thirty years?

Given the state of the car in your pictures I think you might be walking 500 miles back home.

I did not know they were twins.

That stream looks like tea.

Happy Lammas! I had a friend who would set off fireworks on Lammas. What wonderful vistas you live with.

Looks like it was a great walk!

I would walk five hundred miles to avoid hearing.....

I actually thought they were a bit naff, but in bonnie Scotland they're national heroes, and still much loved. Imagine singing that same wretched song (in Pub back rooms) for 30 years. Didn't we all know that they were twins?

Lovely photos. I was trying to locate the scenery in Wales, of course! Trust it to be Scotland! Like the look of that old Citreon, too. Have a great break.

All very nice pictures. I especially like the old truck.

There are about fifteen vehicles of differing ages in the yard where we walked to...most arrived in good condition up to ten years ago....all have been sitting out in Scottish weather since...
