pohanginapete said...: It's a nymph of the recently arrived (in New Zealand) South African mantis, Miomantis caffra. They're now the more common mantis in the north of New Zealand and seem to be slowly extending their range further south — they've now been found in Christchurch.; 22 December 2012 at 08:26
