backing up blog

I'm looking for an easy way to back up my blog, pictures and all.....

Just Copy and Paste would be marvellous....then Print!!

Everything recommended looks far too technical and I can't get my head round it.

"sigh" !!

The Wizzard isn't forthcoming with ideas either...out of sight, out of mind..he does live 225 miles away.

Ho Hum.

busy getting nowhere..

and no job.  You understand why you no longer get acknowledgements for applications and they rarely say if you haven't got the job.   It is disheartening.

The Pirate carries on with his hormone treatment...the side effects suck, but it means he'll get his  life back...in Summer 2016...better that than none...

A decent night's sleep would be a help...

Radio therapy will be hopefully in April and May- seven and a half weeks of five days a week, 20 minutes a day zapping. He is, therefore, back on his bike, mainly on the track, to get fit enough to be zapped!!

We're busy scratching our heads to find an income..no chance of a workshop yet. I've been offered part of a cold, damp asbestos shed-thanks but no thanks!! So keep on hunting...all I need is  a small disused cowshed like Hannah!!

I've started looking back at my old drawing books- I've half a dozen here, of the fortyfive year's worth..

I'm working on producing cards..and going back to lino printing, something I really enjoyed way back when.

I'm not moving away from potting, but you have to create SOMETHING!!!! It will come in handy as I'll be able to make items  to go with the pots when I'm selling.

Meanwhile, a few garden jobs have appeared, despite the weather..and today we have had freezing weather, then snow, followed by yet more rain (as if we hadn't had enough already!)

 Glasgow Velodrome
 Him up a ladder
 Sunset over Straiton
Snowdrops....at last!!

Teigar, aka Katt

R.I.P.   went today, purring as she went. Aged about 17 years (human).

Looked after The Oily One all his adult life.

Also looked after The Carpenter.

A ball of nerves and affection and playfulness, to quote my daughter.

She had a tumour on her liver, the Oily One found last week, and quickly went downhill, losing weight but still eating until today.

We'll all miss her.

She'll be laid to rest in Pembrokeshire where she stayed for a while, on a smallholding at the end of a mountain.

weathers

This morning...sun over here, and rain over there....
we've had everything today, thankfully with enough dry to get some work done outside....   but not enough to trust putting the washing on the line!

The day has finished, clear and cold....and the woodburner sulked for two hours before deigning to burn!!

Spring on the way

night out

We went to the local cycling club dinner...the light through the wine glasses was fascinating!

looking forward to Spring

The Snowdrops are blooming at home.

We celebrated by dodging the showers of rain and taking a walk on the beach by Culzean Castle.

enthusiasm

or rather, lack of it....

The cold and damp weather does not help.

No workshop does not help, and small hope of getting one...every time a small chance raises its head, it gets dashed...

Even when the weather permits , I don't feel like going out on my bike.  Half an hour occasionally on the turbo trainer isn't going to keep me fit for anything.

There is just too much going on in my head and I feel I'm getting nowhere.

The Pirate's treatment is progressing well. He is about to start on stage three...40 sessions of being zapped!!....and he might not have to have the other therapy for three years, perhaps only two...so at least something is being positive!

I'll feel better as the light increases and as his treatment passes.

Keep on keeping on....

Coming back Home

 Back to Mainland Scotland....
We'll be back as soon as we can!

Friday in North Tolsta

All day.....

Thursday in North Tolsta

in Scotland, the second of January is also a holiday....

so we visited The Crofter...where work never stops...

dagging new sheep, because the change of pasture has upset their digestive systems a bit...
 MY bucket....
 Hmff...
 Gress beach walk, before..

Stornoway lunch at the Bridge Cafe...
and a walk up to the castle..

to the ferry leaving for Ullapool, into the coming squalls..
 which arrived home before us
but lifted in time for a last minute beach walk..

 aim for the rock...
and get around it with dry feet!
then find beauty at the edge of the sand as it met the road coming down...how I'd not walked on them as we arrived at the beach is a mystery!
