Roofing!

I spent most of today holding a ladder...very boring, but it meant that Pirate was safe up the ladder! And the workshop roof edging is mostly finished.

The wooden straps were rotting after four years...and we liberated the plastic replacements from heading to landfill 😎
The front is done apart from a little trimming, the back corners are done.
The jackdaws will have a job getting through this stuff.

 Today's visitor

Slow progress...but steady...you never know when the last frost will be !!

So nice to see these growing, and things getting repaired.

I never get up on a ladder without Dylan there to hold, and even then only rarely. I've taken care of too many patients over 50 who've had bad interactions with ladders.

Shed looks watertight and the seedlings are coming on well.

A good day's work. Seedlings are looking good. Some of mine fizzled out from the heat yesterday in the glass house, so will have to re-sow some seeds... I thought they would be okay, but clearly not!

It's all going to look awesome when it's done.

I saw one of those butterflies too the other day! They must roam far and wide in the British isles.

Steve the orange tips are on the males..they generally come out all together looking for a mate..the weather triggers it I think
