Cherries and life

 Cherries from Scotland no less!

I think they are grown near Dundee , under shelter to protect them from heavy rain and frost.

I think these must be the last of the crop..just £1 a large punnet still, on the street fruit and veg stall.

We invested in another five punnets..three bottles done, and I am just about getting the knack of not boiling all the liquid out as I process them!!

Plenty were eaten, and a pound and a half were cooked with the ones from a previous year that had been used to make cherry vodka....set to drain, then sugar added to make an interesting...but not alcoholic... cordial.

We are not "confined to barracks" now, just advised to stay within our health board area..just because people have no consideration for others , or themselves for that matter.

Time stretches on, yet another week goes by.  We sorely miss our families, but pirate has phone contact, and I use messenging and email.

Keep busy is the only thing to do.
