They look delicious! Here in the US biscuits are something totally different. I am sure people from other countries come here and can't figure out why anyone would serve biscuits with sausage and gravy, lol.

Home made ginger biscuits are brilliant pressies - we do that sort of thing too especially for my Dad - he loves receiving homemade baking :)
Ginger? My favorite. Not so much when I was a kid, but as an adult absolutely.
