Pirate and that robin are good builders! I'm glad that the robin came back. I had a notion that he would. We had robins building nests on our back deck, which was interesting, but they have 2 or 3 clutches a summer, and there was bird poop EVERYWHERE. We tried to discourage them, but as often as we knocked the nest down after the babies fledged, it would be rebuilt. We sold the house years ago, but I'm sure that if we asked, we'd find that there are still robins nesting on the back deck!
Robins are such friendly little things, they used to enter my grandmothers house when I was a child, I have one on the allotment, I know it's not 'mine' but it seems to favour my plot (probably I am digging too often lol!) Nice to see your other half as he isn't often in your pics, hope health issues are under control - Betty x

People and birds...both quite resilient! :)
I admire people who can make things not wobble!
A post that makes me smile.

I once found a Robin's nest in a old paint tin in a bush. Amazing creatures.
Robins seem to have a good relationship with humans so it is obvious she (and he) trust you. Hope the end result is a clutch of babies.
