On the prom

Another delayed walk...but we got to promenade on the promenade!

Busy cleaning the beach after the winter storms, ready for the tourists

People are mucky....
And the sea throws everything over the green stretch between the houses and the prom as well!
Oystercatchers...no oysters here
The rain missed us....just!

It was a trifle windy..so we walked against the wind to start with, to get a tailwind back to the car!

As I write the wind has risen further and it is still raining....but there is hope for a walk tomorrow morning.

Not swimming today, then?

I felt chilly just hearing that wind. Might rewatch the video later today when our temps climb again.
I’m pining for winter

Glad you got out and about

Good that you are able to get some walking done. Won't be long now till warmer weather,

We had an all day snowfall. Not happy for my dentist appointment tomorrow.

beautiful rugged shoreline, and now spruced up for visitors. But I dare say a bit more seaweed will be coming along. We've got high winds and cold night tonight...some worry about the fruit trees, but hope for warmer weather tomorrow.

Tasker I haven't done any swimming since teaching the kids....
And Pirate can't...he had started lessons nearly thirty years ago, but after a hernia op..lifting heavy things at work..he never got back to it.

I would invest in a metal detector if I lived near that beach.

Spring will come eventually and even a small amount of sun can cheer everything up - it can't rain forever, though it feels like it.

It was windy yesterday here too - we were in the orchard doing a very belated winter prune and in the shade it was bitterly cold, fortunately by the afternoon spring had arrived - long may she linger!

Bracing!

Your sandy beach looks nice and tidy. The wind gusting in your video sounds fierce. Walking the beach, watching the tides and breathing all the lovely salt air is delightful. It appears you and Pirate had the beach entirely to yourselves. Perfect.

It would be tempting to metal detect, Dave..although anything found belongs to the crown...even if you did have the necessary permission

The beach may be ready for tourists, but I'm not sure the weather is!

gz said...

It certainly isn't, Steve...back to cold weather again by the weekend

Is the Crown a pub? I am joking GZ. You can't own a metal detector here in Ireland.
