A little later start today, aiming to miss the school/work rush on the bus.
I went the full length of the #10 route, which also is the bus to the hospital named for M. Dupuytren.....so either he was from here or discovered the treatment for the ligament contracture here.
In ten minutes I was back by the river Vienne .I didn't find the way to the banks initially. Without using mobile data I can't get satellite view and with all the trees the GPS tracker dot isn't always quite where I am! Near enough though. Then an easy walk upriver on the city side of the river up to the Pont St. Étienne, past "outdoor gyms" , a carpark with much municipal planting...and a free toilet!!. I missed the Plantagenet garden...but went up past the Botanic garden...Jardin Botanique de l'Éveché where I returned to after lunch in my usual place.
It is huge...plots of plant families , then in another part medicinal, poisonous, perfume plants. It is a huge undertaking of French. plants and also Francophonie ( colonies) plants all up to tree size.
