French trip May 2026. Day 6. Foit sore and mind boggled

A later start today as I knew that I was heading for some serious walking...after a town wander and lunch in the Syrian restaurant..with tables set out in the courtyard of the Coeur du Temple.

A sit in a square to digest and think..as the Adrian Dubuché National Museum didn't open after lunch until 2pm...which us normal.  Then made my way to the museum...past the street called Mountain if Regret. Not steep....but it led to the guillotine...which sounds a terrible thing. However it was designed in the Revolution to be a quick and some ways kinder way than some of the previous methods. And also the same whoever you were...I also learnt that the last time it was used was in 1937 ...

I walked and looked and photographed...for two hours..I missed out the section with scale models of porcelain production process..beautifully made.

Plenty of ideas boiling around in my mind...and sore feet...bus back to base , dinner then shopping for tomorrow's meals.

Tomorrow's thunder and heavy rain arrived at 8pm tonight!!!
