Today the weather was 12⁰ C lower!! and windy....
No excuse not to tidy the house, do the ironing and vacuum the floors...I hate carpets!! Then get the accounts up to date.
No big jobs, just ones that get put off!!
Two visitors after lunch. for tea and buns and chat. On the way from the Isle of Lewis to Ulverston for Velo Retro. The frame that Mike Mullett built for Pirate will be getting an outing.
Then as they left fine rain started. Just what is needed
I then crashed on the sofa and slept for three hours! Now if I could sleep as well as that between 3 and 6 am.....
I must have needed it. I went for a walk after supper as the rain had stopped. A bright sunny fresh evening, and the wind had dropped...hence...midgies!! which meant that the blether with a fairly new neighbour had to be curtailed!!
A friend happened to ask me this evening how I am...ok...but being alone sucks...

You did lots. No wonder you had a nana nap.
It’s nice that you he some visitors , I’m sorry your feeling so lonely
Visitors, a needed rain and a nap. Sounds good. Isn't it odd? There are times when things are so busy and we crave to be alone, but when we are alone too often, it's not as good as we thought it would be.
Living alone is not for everyone. Hopefully, in time, that will change. If not, it was not meant to be.
It must have been nice to visit with friends.
For me, an occasional nap in the middle of the day is restorative.
Beautiful photos. Thanks for sharing. I'm enjoying reading your blog from the comfort of my newly cleaned carpets. Have a great day.
Thanks...but I hate carpets!!
I much prefer what my French and NZ friends have...good solid wood or tile floors, easy to clean, no dust and dust mites!!
rugs where needed that you can clean easily.
It has to be very difficult to lose your life partner. You do well, really. We have a couple friends--men--who were both widowed in the last 2 years, and they are frank about their loneliness. At least they have each other to hang out with. Another friend lost her husband about 8 years ago. We saw her for the first time since 2021, and she now has a new "friend", and seems much more serene.
