It took four tries to get the photos on yesterday's post! Eventually worked from "computer" not "photos". I think I'll do some extra posts for the photos...
Back to the Gâre des Bénédictins by bus, then walked into the centre. I found the small shop and ceramics workshop run by three women that I follow on fb...good to meet them in person. I'll be sending them a glaze recipe as a thanks for showing me round. They also know the other person I was looking for...I hadn't quite located his shop and workshop.."atèlier" sounds much better and covers both!
Luckily he turned up just after I did, so I could give him a birthday card for his father!
I made a start on some drawing there, but not very satisfactorily...not enough regular practice. Then the small Syrian in the courtyard opened for lunch...vegetarian heaven!!
more wandering then, and ended in the Musée des Beaux Arts.
An Egyptian collection , history of Limoges, paintings by locals from all ages..and by plenty of women too. Enamelling, which is famous here, not just porcelain, some glass windows and sculpture. ....and a fantastic building.
Then , wearily, back on the bus..strap hanging at first! Wisely I went to Eat Salad first for supper...as there was not just a cloudburst...it carried on heavily so long they were worried about the water coming in..but even when it eased it carried on for a good half hour! It still hadn't quite stopped as I walked back...and got going again as I reached the hotel!!
