A better day

First ride out on the road for three months..looks like most of the crazy drivers were at home! We didn't go far, just about eight miles...hills ,even small ones, and a breeze was a shock to the system after all this time riding turbotrainers. But it was very pleasant out and the wind strength was thankfully lower than it has been.
The garden progresses gently..and we have a new source of pony poo!!
First flower trusses
Just waiting for me to turn my back!
Still there after the stormy winds
Hiding from the Cabbage Whites

A helping hand after the winds

And our first sale on eBay... incentive for himself to clean and describe more

All your veggies are coming along fabulously! I got a little nostalgic when I saw your lovely zucchini plant - I love the summer months and the glut of zuc's that come with it! So much surplus to eat and pickle ;o) love it!

Great to hear of a bit of biking again. Garden is sure coming along! My adult son in Colorado has a mountain bike and likes to go on rides in the mountains and desert! What a difference!

If you two keen cyclists could have seen us when we cycled in the Loire valley two years ago you would have laughed your socks off. We went on a cycling holiday, the idea was to cycle from one vineyard to the next. Neither of us had been on a bike for hundreds of years. We decided straight off that wine tasting and cycling weren’t a marriage made in heaven, so we never did. We enjoyed the fabulous food and wine after a hard days cycling though. The first day I thought I would die, the only proper equipment we had were cycle helmets. We did have a good time. Our fellow travellers all kitted up in lyra thought we were barmy, me with my palazzo pants and him in ordinary shorts. Out of the group strangely we were the only ones not to come a cropper... oddly?

We had to prop up some of our plants, too. My brother used to sell bike parts on eBay -- he may still, I don't know. But YES, he talked about how much work it is to list everything and get it sold and shipped!
