Oamaru

 We made sure that we had a break at Oamaru, in order to see the old station buildings...

I did actually HEAR a train.....in the distance...but it must have been going away from us!!

You see all these signs saying WATCH FOR TRAINS......we are.....so far we have seen one engine on its own.....one with three big wagons....heard one long train at 7.45 am...and one at about midnight!!

That colour sea.....just like we see in the Western Isles in Scotland!!

So it was worth the stop!!

We saw another good advertisement too....

We just like the style, the dry sense of humour here!!
