Bits and bobs

Pirate's birthday bouquet from fellow Blogger "Boxes &Bellows" and her lovely Eve who we met at Dumfries House for lunch over a week ago on their way home to the Western Isles.
A wall near Glen Trool. The work of the dyker is well skillful..not just a craft but an art.

Then sunset just now...I found how to get the truer colours... gradually sneak up on it, then delete those that didn't work!

Stacked stone walls are a joy to behold. The craftsmanship is astounding.

so sorry to read about the bench in your last post somebody obviously was willing to go to a lot of trouble to own it and deprive everyone else from enjoying it. Great sunset pics. Betty (Elderberry-Rob)

That is something I loved about my visit: those remarkable stone walls! I deleted an awful lot of pictures today, and STILL managed to end up with stinkers!

Yeah, I've noticed that too re. sunset photos. The camera takes a moment to adjust to the light so if you snap it quickly you'll get a darker exposure and thus more colorful.
