I've been photographing the family heirlooms and history that go to Pirate's nephew this weekend. Then I can email the images to anyone in the family who needs them...and I hope to be photographing more photos, to do the same..then if the originals, whoever has them, get lost or destroyed, everyone will still have a copy.

More photography tomorrow, and possibly some garden tidying!

Friday's wander in Ayr

Then 1970s shops echoing a 1789 bridge...

There used to be three tall towers..the last one hasn't been demolished because there are phone towers on top....and their contract still holds....

Newish shopping centre...

Much of the high street needs tlc...

It's been another funny old day. I sold a bagful of books, making more room...and looked at prices of veg plants...😳

Came home empty handed...and after another couple of hours genealogy I've found that Pirate's family was in Kent in the 1400s...so not directly Huguenot...BUT that Possee was originally Posse...which is a Swedish surname....

Not so sunny

 In fact this morning was decidedly off-putting..I had planned a bike ride to meet up with friends...but the thought of a dozen chilly damp miles to get there...and hanging about watching...and riding home... meant that that was off the cards!!

Get on with work...pack more finished cards..

And work on the next bird....on and off most of the day, from initial drawing to completion....

Now to choose the colour..

Not black, because there will be a capercaillie print in the future....

So red or brown...

And no, the title will NOT be "Dum dum dum dum diddly dum".....

I might get into legal problems.....

Another sunny day

 Another load of washing! I sorted cycling kit and half a wardrobe..

Some to the bin, a couple of NZ bike tops to grandsons....if they haven't grown too much....15 in June! Some to op shops...

I must review my dresses..not that I wear them often...what still suits, what will I have a hope of fitting....

The kitchen is working better so far...

I need to find homes for some of the young cacti.....and pot up again those that got bigger pots last year and have appreciated that !

With it being such a nice warm day I did some garden pottering...grass cutting, sorting young fruit bushes and tools to go to Kent...and the joy and relief of seeing the tomatoes above the earth...

I prefer the feeling of this one...it is more like the owl.

Then it was time for evening exercise...half an hour's walk in the sunshine, even though a fleece jacket was needed..the evenings are still cold.

Organised!!

A literal line full of washing out on the line before breakfast....car down to the garage for MoT not long after 9am....the shepherds ready for ironing when I walked back up.the hill.

As usual, housework gets done right after breakfast...then I can relax!!

Today's work, done in short stretches ..was to cut the " heron " block...  

And here it is...I'm not used to colour, but I think that it is ok 

And the car passed its test .. relief!!

Monday...wet!

 Not the downpours some have been receiving...but still back to cold wet and windy..such a disappointment after yesterday's weather.

Which was glorious!!... gardening started, greenhouse tidying, card printing...

But perhaps it is to stop us overdoing things!!
